That’s not mind blowing, that’s scary! People are 8 times more likely to crash, nearly crash or wander from their lane when texting while driving compared to driving while drunk! Over 600 thousand crashes last year due to texting while driving, resulting in over 2600 fatalities!

19 states have a full ban on texting while driving with many more to follow. Think of the seat belt law. How many actually wore a seat belt 15 to 20 years ago? Not many. But because it became a law and a ticket could be issued, people understood it wasn’t a big hassle and realized it was much safer, now a vast majority wear a seat belt.
